Josephine J. (Aquino) Wall

HOLDEN – Josephine J. (Aquino) Wall, 93, formerly of Bullard Street, died Thursday, February 2, 2006, in the University Commons Nursing Home, Worcester, after an illness.

Her husband of 57 years, Martin H. Wall, died in June of 1995. She leaves two daughters, Linda J. MacLeod and her husband Donald of Easthampton and Elaine J. Marchesseault and her husband John of Framingham; two brothers, Samuel Aquino of Worcester and Michael Aquino of Auburn; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; many nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Antonio and Antoinette (Amatrudi) Aquino, and lived many years in Holden before moving to Worcester several years ago.

Mrs. Wall was a seamstress for Newton Sportswear in Worcester for 30 years, retiring in 1977. She was a member of St. George’s Church, the Greendale YMCA, Italian Circle in West Boylston, Immaculate Conception Church Leisure Club, Chaffins Women’s Club and the Friends of the Holden Council on Aging.

Family and friends are welcomed to gather at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 7, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. George’s Church, 38 Brattle Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Friends of the Holden Council on Aging, Holden Senior Center, 1130 Main Street, Holden, MA 01520.
