Biography
AUBURN – Joseph “Joey” P. Savage, 53, formerly of Holden, died unexpectedly at his home in Auburn on Thursday, November 17, 2011. He was born in Worcester, the son of Robert V. and Margaret M. (Anderson) Savage and lived most of his life in Holden.
He leaves a brother, Robert J. Savage and his wife Jean of Southbridge; two sisters, Marie A. Wilcomb of Rutland and Trish Wallace and her husband John of Paxton; a sister-in-law, Jane Savage of Hubbardston; many nephews and nieces; and his beloved dog, “Sarge”. He is predeceased by his brother, Dennis Savage, who died in 2003.
Joey graduated from Wachusett Regional High School in 1977 and worked several years at Norton Company in Worcester. He later worked many years at Barbers Crossing Restaurant in Sterling and looked forward to his yearly cruises with his best friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 3 to 5 on Sunday, November 20, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday at St. George Church, 38 Brattle Street, Worcester. Burial will be private at Mooreland Cemetery in Paxton.
