Biography
TEMPLETON - Joseph F. Breault, 94, and formerly of Oakham, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 25, 2016. His beloved wife of 71 years, Helen R. (McCauley) Breault, died on September 7th. He was born in Auburn, a son of Theodore and Ella (Kenneway) Breault. Upon graduating from high school, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. For most of his career, he was a carpenter, a trade he learned from his father. He was a real outdoorsman enjoying fishing and hunting. In his retirement years, Joe devoted his free time to his grandchildren, whom he truly enjoyed being the proud Grampy of. He is survived by his two children, Joseph F. Breault, Jr. and his wife, Helen of California and Faith M. Rival and her husband, Reinhard of Hubbardston; his six grandchildren whom he adored, Heather, Rachael and Andrew Breault, and Blake Rival, Kyle Rival and his wife, Alison and Amber Rival; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Timothy and Ray Breault and a sister, Maria Thompson. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Joseph and Helen’s family on Sunday, January 8 from 1-2 p.m. at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A memorial service honoring their lives will follow at 2 p.m. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester will be held in the spring.
