Jordan J. Howe, 22, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his parents and siblings, on Friday, May 12, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital. He was the beloved son of Nathan and Angelina (Morley) Howe.
Jordan graduated from Wachusett Regional High School, Class of 2018, and was a member of the school’s football team for four years. After graduation, he set out to be a hero, and he made numerous attempts to enlist in each branch of the military, however his asthma prevented him from serving our country. Jordan decided he would live his life saving people another way. Not long after, Jordan began his EMT studies at Quinsigamond Community College. He went on to further his education with the Vital EMS program, and recently earned his certificate on April 27, beginning his new career as an EMT. Jordan hoped to become a paramedic and eventually a life flight paramedic.
He was spontaneous and energetic, overflowing with life, and you couldn’t feel more alive than when you were with him. He was also reliable and would help anyone at a moment’s notice. Known to his family as an Iron Chef, he loved to surprise them with new kitchen creations using random ingredients. He loved camping, fishing, and enjoying nature.
As a little boy Jordan always wanted to be a hero, and he lived it every day. Through the gift of organ donation, Jordan has now saved several other lives. Not only did he live as a hero, Jordan made the ultimate sacrifice and died a hero as well.
He will be lovingly missed and remembered by his parents, Nathan and Angelina Howe of Rutland; his brother, Jericho Howe; his sisters, Kayla, Aurore, Alyssa, Kira and Elora Howe, all of Rutland; his extended family; and many beloved friends. He was predeceased by several great grandparents.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Howe family from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, May 22 in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Private services will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Jordan Howe Foundation to promote health education and improve the treatment of asthma and allergies.
