PRINCETON – Jonathan “Jon” D. Metcalf, 21, of 11 East Princeton Road, died on Thursday, June 1, 2006, in the UMass Memorial Hospital, Worcester, from injuries relating to a motorcycle accident in Westminster.
He leaves his loving parents, Gary R. and Nancy M. (Flanders) Metcalf. Besides his parents he leaves five brothers including his twin brother, Benjamin D. Metcalf; Christopher J. Metcalf, Andrew and Jeffrey Cardillo all of Princeton, and James Cardillo of Sterling; a sister, Michelle May of Long Island; paternal grandparents, Guy D. and Josephine F. (Clark) Metcalf of West Boylston; aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester and lived 16 years in Princeton.
Jon graduated from Wachusett Regional High School in 2003. He was a member of the Massachusetts Carpenter’s Apprentice Program and worked for Francis Harvey and Sons in Worcester. He was a member of the Local Carpenter’s Union #107 in Worcester and enjoyed snowboarding, skiing, playing poker and camping.
The funeral service for Jon will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 6, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Burial will be private in Woodlawn Cemetery, Connor Lane, Princeton. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 5, in the funeral home.
