HOLDEN – Jonathan M. Benoit, 27, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, June 30, 2023, after a struggle with brain cancer.
Jonathan was diagnosed with Glioblastoma back in February 2022. Even with his 18 Month battle, he took on this challenge in his typical carefree fashion. He always had a positive attitude, even up to the end by not letting cancer define who he was.
He leaves his mother, Christine (Robidoux) Setterlund and her husband, Dennis of Holden; his sister, Allison Benoit of Holden, his stepbrother, Brandon Setterlund; his stepsister, Ashley Setterlund; his grandmother, Patricia Robidoux; and aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Mark Benoit of Worcester.
Jonathan was born in Worcester and graduated from Shepherd Hill Regional High School in Dudley and earned his bachelor’s degree from New England Institute of Technology in Rhode Island. He was a network engineer for Comcast.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5th and Thursday, July 6th from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A celebration of life service for Jonathan will be held on Thursday, July 6th at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. A private committal service will be held at the convenience of the family.
