John Donald Richard

Rutland - John D. Richard, 74, died peacefully at home on Sunday, February 23, 2025. He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Arthur J. and Gladys (Becklund) Richard and graduated from the former Worcester Boy's Trade High School.
John proudly served in the United States Army during the Viet Nam era. He had a lifelong passion for electronics and especially enjoyed HAM radio operations when he was young. John had a career as an electrical technician for O.S. Walker Co. in Worcester. In his leisure time he enjoyed camping and spending time with his late companion, Gail Stevens.
John will be lovingly missed and remembered by his brother, Arthus J. Richard, Jr. and his wife, Susan of Oakham and his sister, Gail Smith of Manchester, CT; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service honoring and celebrating John's life at 12 noon on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, 260 Cambridge Street, Worcester. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of one's own choosing.
