Worcester – John L. Keevan, Jr., 84, passed away peacefully on the morning of Sunday, December 8, 2024, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. Born and raised in Worcester, he was the beloved son of the late John L. and Alice (Haskell) Keevan.
John had a lifelong passion for automobiles. A dedicated driver for Endicott Oil for many years, he also cherished his time spent tinkering with cars and trucks. When not immersed in automotive pursuits, John found joy in fishing and was a devoted sports enthusiast, always ready to cheer on his favorite teams.
Above all, John treasured his family. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 65 years, Diane J. (Hopkins) Keevan; his children, John Keevan III and his partner, Barbara Morton, of East Providence, RI; Terriann Baker and her husband, John, of Charlton; and Craig Keevan of Worcester. John's legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Nicholas Keevan, Timothy Keevan, Michael Keevan and his wife, Jazzmyne, and Casey Baker, as well as his three great-grandchildren and several dear nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Michael R. Keevan, and his siblings, William Keevan, Thomas Keevan, and Alma Kachnowicz.
Relatives and friends are invited to honor John’s life at a calling hour from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. Burial will be private.
