Biography
HOLDEN – John S. Farrington, 30, passed from this life on Sunday, October 11, 2015. He was born and raised in Worcester and settled in Holden with his wife, Jenn (DeCambra) Farrington and their two children, Brooke and Jaxson.
John graduated from Worcester Voke in 2003, was on the wrestling team and played junior and varsity football. He was a licensed plumber and played for the Worcester Rugby Team with his brother, Tom. John loved family gatherings. He especially enjoyed the annual apple picking day with his family and siblings, Beth, Dave, Julie and Tom, as well as his nieces, Lena and Celia.
John will be sadly missed by his mother, Margaret “Peg” (Drolet) Daniels and her husband, John of Worcester; his step-mother, Diane Farrington; his grandmothers, Sheila Drolet and Avice Jarvis and her husband, Gary. John also leaves his step-brothers and step-sisters, Kristen, Zach, Brett, Meaghan, Scott and Jolene; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who cared deeply for him. He was predeceased by his father, Stephen Farrington and his grandfathers, Robert Drolet and Philip Farrington.
John’s family would like to thank Jeanne and Carol DeCambra, Nicole Murray, Jane and Don Colby and all those who saw the good in John, as well as the Dismas House who tried to set him on the right path. A special thank you to the loving family who opened their hearts and home to John in what were his final days.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 16, followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m. in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A private committal service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brooke and Jaxson Scholarship Fund, c/o Worcester Credit Union, 520 West Boylston St., Worcester, MA 01606.
