Joel M. Legare

NEEDHAM/HOLDEN – Joel M. Legare, 36, beloved husband of Amanda (Kushin) Legare passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 6, 2019. Born in Colorado Springs, CO, and raised in Holden, Joel was the son of Frank and Janice (Goudreault) Legare.

Joel was a graduate of Wachusett Regional High School where he has held school track and field records. Joel went on to further his education at the University of Connecticut where he earned his bachelor’s degree. During his time at the University he continued breaking track records and qualified for the Olympic trials. He enjoyed hiking and outdoor activities. What made Joel the most happy was spending time with Mandy and the girls.

Joel will be lovingly missed and remembered by his wife, Mandy; his two daughters, Madison and Samantha; his parents, Frank and Janice Legare of Holden; his maternal grandmother Geraldine Goudreault and his many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service for Joel will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, November 12 at the First Baptist Church, 1216 Main Street, Holden.
