WEST BOYLSTON – Joanne “Nanny” M. (Barton) Dusoe, 83, passed away at home on Sunday, October 14, 2012 after an illness.
Her husband of 49 years, Joseph D. Dusoe passed away in 2000. She leaves a daughter, Sandra L. Mattioli and her husband Richard of Worcester; a sister, Jerebill Brank of Worcester; two granddaughters, Kristine L. Mattioli of Shrewsbury and Leah M. Mattioli of Worcester; and many special nephews and nieces. She also leaves her beloved dog, Ebby and her grand dog, Buster. She was predeceased by her sister, Deno LeBlanc.
Nanny was born in Washburn, Maine, the daughter of Willard and Faye (Storey) Barton and lived in Worcester before moving to West Boylston 36 years ago. She loved animals, shopping, bowling, dining out with her family and extended family and cooking Sunday dinners.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour from 12 to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17, followed by a service at 1 p.m. in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sterling Animal Shelter, checks payable to the Animal Shelter Inc., 17 Laurelwood Road, Sterling, MA 01564.
