Leominster/Warwick, RI – JoAnn M. Armstrong, 68, passed away at home on Thursday, March 28, 2024. She was born in Providence, RI, the daughter of the late Edward and Marion (Zoccolini) Fletcher. JoAnn resided in Warwick for many years before recently relocating to Leominster.
JoAnn was a graduate of Pilgrim High School and pursued a career as an LPN, providing compassionate care to patients at St. Joseph’s Hospital and, more recently, at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence. She found her lifelong companion in marriage to Robert, and together they celebrated almost 47 years of devoted partnership. A woman of deep faith, JoAnn was a member of the Holy Family of Nazareth Church in Leominster. Her passions included nurturing her garden and pets, and a passion for good food, whether cooking for family or outside culinary experiences. Above all, her unwavering devotion was to her family, and she took immense pride in her role as a grandmother aka Gigi.
JoAnn will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Robert B. Armstrong; her daughters, Jenifer Armstrong of California and Michelle LeBlanc and her husband, Ryan, of West Boylston; JoAnn’s sister, Audrey Brown of Leominster; and her beloved grandchildren, Adelina and Sophia.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour from 9 to 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Rd., Sterling. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, at Holy Family of Nazareth Church, 750 Union St., Leominster, followed by interment at Highland Memorial Park, Johnston, RI.
