She was active on the tennis court, golf course, and several other athletic endeavors. Joan was a longtime member of Mount Pleasant Country Club and Temple Emanuel Sinai of Worcester.
Joan leaves her children, John Sadowsky and his wife Birgit of Charmey, Switzerland, Laura Jane Sadowsky, wife of Guy Bouchard of Gaspé, Quebec Canada, and Ken Sadowsky of Miami Beach, Florida; her son-in-law, Richard Kaufman; and her three grandchildren.
