Biography
PRINCETON - Joan Esther (McQuade) Lynch passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 with her loving family by her side at the age of 86.
Joan was born and raised in Lowell, MA. She was the daughter of John and Susan (McGirr) McQuade. She was a graduate of Lowell High School and attended Bradshaw Business School. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. Prior to raising children, she worked at Trades & Mechanics Insurance Company as a Secretary. She lived in Leominster a short time before moving to Princeton 57 years ago.
She has been a member of Prince of Peace Parish since moving to Princeton.
Joan leaves her beloved husband of 61 years, Thomas F. Lynch. She was a devoted and loving mother of 5 children: three sons, Daniel Lynch and his wife, Kimberly (Rose) Lynch, James Lynch and his wife, Christine (Foresteire) Lynch, and Bryan Lynch; two daughters, Kathy (Lynch) McInerney and her husband, Sean, Pat (Lynch) Little and her husband, Kevin; seven grandchildren; nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Dorothy McQuade; and cousin, Rita McQuade.
She was preceded by two brothers, John McQuade, Joseph McQuade and two sisters, Mary (McQuade) Shea, Catherine McQuade.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 to 7 pm on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 in the Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road (Rte 12), Sterling, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Wednesday January 4 at the Prince of Peace Parish, 5 Worcester Road, Princeton, MA. Spring burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Princeton.
