Joan F. (Fawcett) Borjeson

STERLING -- Joan F. (Fawcett) Borjeson, 81, passed away peacefully Friday, November 24, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. Born in Williamstown and raised in Lowell, Joan was the daughter of Raymond F. and Eleanor D. (Teague) Fawcett and lived 52 years in Sterling. Joan graduated from Lowell High School, attended St. John’s School of X-Ray Technology and Northeastern University. She worked at Fallon Clinic in Worcester for 30 years as an X-Ray Technician retiring in 1999. She was a member of St. Richard of Chichester and was a former den-mother with Cub Scout Pack - 34, both in Sterling. Joan was a voracious reader and enjoyed skiing, counted cross stitching and spending summer vacations with her family at Cape Cod and later in Biddeford, Maine. Her favorite pastimes were spending time puttering around the house and working in her garden. Joan was proud of her children and grandchildren and their many accomplishments. She will be remembered for her kind and gentle nature. Her beloved husband of 53 years, Robert C. Borjeson died in 2012. Joan will be affectionately remembered and missed by her daughter, Karen E. Morrow and her wife, Alison of Oak Bluffs, Martha’s Vineyard; two sons, Robert S. Borjeson and his girlfriend, Pamela McGonagle of Hampton, NH and David C. Brojeson and his wife, Julie of Duxbury; her sister, Judith Healy and her husband, Robert of Hampton, NH; eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Ashley, Stephanie, Daniel, Erin, Craig, Cameron and Samantha; many nephews and nieces. Besides her husband and parents, Joan is predeceased by a sister, Eleanor McClellan. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Joan’s family from 4 to 7 pm on Wednesday, November 29, at Miles – Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Thursday, November 30, at St. Richard of Chichester Church, 4 Bridge Street, Sterling.
