Biography
WORCESTER – Joan C. (Bean) Leibman, age 85, of Worcester, died on Thursday, July 14 at UMASS Memorial Healthcare.
Her husband Sidney Leibman died in 1998. She leaves Howard Leibman and his wife, Dianne of Stoughton, and Wayne Leibman of Worcester; a daughter, Marjorie, wife of Neal Berenson of Westford; four grandchildren, Stacy, wife of Anthony Awe of Woodbridge, CT, Lauren, wife of Brian Colella of Waltham, Breanna, wife of Stephen Morecroft of Billerica, and Kendall Liebman and her fiancé, Mark Marchioli of Wrentham; three great grandchildren Stephen and Alexander Awe and Hunter Morecroft. She was predeceased by her five brothers, Samuel, Hyman, Morris, Edward and David Bean and her four sisters, Esther Kline, Cora Gertz, Dorothy Shapiro and Rosalie Sachs.
For many years she was the office manager for the Jewish Home for aged.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 2:00PM ON SUNDAY, JULY 17TH AT TEMPLE EMANUEL SINAI, 661 SALISBURY STREET IN WORCESTER UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME OF HOLDEN. Burial will be at B’Nai Brith Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Jewish Healthcare Center, 629 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
Memorial Observance will be held through 6:30 PM on Sunday, July 17th at the Jewish Healthcare Center, 629 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609 and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Monday, July 18th at the residence of Marjorie and Neal Berenson at 24 Banbury Drive, Westford.
