HOLDEN – Joan A. (St. Martin) Lazaros, 67, of 160 Beechwood Road, died Tuesday, November 30, 2004, in UMass Memorial Medical Center, Worcester.
She leaves her husband of 43 years, George C. Lazaros; two sons, Kevin C. Lazaros and his wife Nicki of Rutland and Steven G. Lazaros of Uxbridge; a daughter, Karen J. Johnson of Temecula, California; a sister, Janet St. Martin of Shrewsbury; five grandchildren; nephews and nieces. Her step-mother, Blanche Mernier of Shrewsbury, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester the daughter of Delphis and Rose (McMahon) St. Martin and lived 32 years in Holden.
Mrs. Lazaros graduated from Shrewsbury High School and was a former manager of the Radiology Department at Memorial Hospital in Worcester where she worked for 48 years, retiring in 1998. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Jefferson and the Massachusetts Radiology Society. She enjoyed traveling and the art of stained glass.
The funeral for Mrs. Lazaros will be held on Monday, December 6, from the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, December 5, in the funeral home.
