S Kimberly J. (Hagglund) Abusheery

HOLDEN – Kimberly J. (Hagglund) Abusheery, 40, of 115 Winter Hill Road, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 23, 2009 in UMass Memorial Healthcare, Worcester after an illness.

She was a devoted mom, wife, daughter, sister and friend and leaves her beloved husband of 14 years, Greg A. Abusheery; her loving children, Steven, Katie and Lauren Abusheery all of Holden; her parents, Steven and Donna (Nordquist) Hagglund of Holden; a sister, Kerry Berry, her husband Jason and their children, Hannah and Hunter all of Rutland; and several special aunts, uncles and cousins. She was born in Worcester and lived most of her life in Holden.

Kim graduated from Wachusett Regional High School in 1986 where she was a member of the National Honor Society, field hockey player and received The Student Athlete Award. She graduated from Westfield State College in 1990 where she also played field hockey. She worked several years for Reebok International in Stoughton.

She was a Daisy Troupe Leader in Holden, a member of the Dawson School P.T.A. and coordinator of the Dawson Ski Program and member of the First Congregational Church of Holden. Kim loved spending time with her family friends, enjoyed vacationing at the beach and spending time at the Holden pool.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 28th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. A Celebration of Kim's Christian Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 29th, in The First Congregational Church of Holden, 1180 Main Street (Rte.122A), Holden. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery, 1290 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Kim's memory be made to the UMass Memorial Foundation, the Levine Cancer Center, 365 Plantation Street, Suite 100 Worcester, MA 01605-2395.
