S Elaine J. (Ferrandino) Costa

STERLING – Elaine J. (Ferrandino) Costa, 68, of Belmont Drive, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 in Clinton Hospital, Clinton.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Walter Costa; 3 daughters, Patricia A. Stankevitz and her husband William of Northbridge, Pamela J. Costa of West Boylston and Robin L. Ferguson of Leominster; her mother Madeline (Giroux) Ferrandino of West Boylston; a sister Gloria J. Ferrandino of West Boylston; and two grandchildren, Melanie and Ashley Stankevitz. She was born in Worcester and raised in West Boylston, the daughter of the late Patsy Ferrandino and lived 42 years in Sterling

Elaine graduated from West Boylston High School and owned and operated the Country Mouse Flower Shop in West Boylston for over 10 years. She later worked as a designer for Pasquale Florist in Clinton. She was a member of St. Richard of Chichester Church in Sterling, and enjoyed vacationing in Aruba and at her summer home in Maine. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 12th in the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling. The funeral for Elaine will be held on Saturday, March 13th, from the funeral home with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Richard of Chichester Church, 4 Bridge Street, Sterling. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Sterling. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Town of Sterling Fire Department, Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 515, Sterling, MA 01564.
