Jeffrey W. Stanhope

DOUGLAS - Jeffrey W. Stanhope, age 30, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, September 25, 2022. Born in Framingham, the son of William and Carol (Abram) Stanhope.

Jeff grew up in Western Massachusetts, graduating from Palmer High School, Class of 2010. He went on to graduate from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2018 with a degree in Natural Sciences. After college, he worked for Safe and Sound in Chicopee.

He enjoyed hiking, fishing, kayaking, disc golf, and simply being outdoors with his dog Kaya and his friends.

Jeff is survived by his parents, William and Carol Stanhope of Douglas; his sister, Jennifer Stanhope of Southborough; his lifelong best friend, Dave Laventure of Hampden; his beloved dog, Kaya; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended-family and friends. He was predeceased by his loving grandparents.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Jeff's family from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 15th at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Learn to Cope, 4 Court St. Ste 110, Taunton, MA 02780, a local non-profit organization providing support to families dealing with addiction and recovery.
