PRINCETON - Jeffrey Holmes King, 66, of Princeton, died peacefully after a long illness on July 20, 2016. He was born in Hartford, CT, the son of E. Holmes and Marion E. (Tumey) King and lived in Millbury before moving to Princeton. Jeffrey leaves his wife of 41 years, Heather (McNiven) King; his daughter, Lyndsay King and her husband, Atma Khalsa and their daughter, McKenna Elyse Khalsa of Holden; his son, Justin King and his girlfriend, Emily Vail of Rutland; his sister, Bettina King of Ashland; his brother-in-law, Andrew McNiven and his wife, Deborah and their two children, Mark and Nira. He also leaves six cousins and their families, to whom he was very close. Jeffrey graduated from Nasson College in Springvale, ME in 1972. While a student there and studying abroad in Vienna he met the love of his life, Heather King. They married and made their home in Princeton almost 30 years ago. For over 35 years, Jeffrey worked for Organomation Associates Inc., in Berlin, MA with his wife, his brother-in-law and eventually his son. Jeffrey loved spending time at his family's cottage in East Brookfield. Growing up, he spent many summers there with three generations of family. He also enjoyed spending time with his family at his home on Maidstone Lake in Vermont. Jeffrey was a passionate, loving, talkative, carefree person who loved the outdoors, particularly boating, water skiing, gardening and riding his lawnmower. He loved to laugh especially at his own jokes and he was always the life of the party. Jeffrey was a one of a kind man in the best way. A memorial service honoring and celebrating Jeffrey's life will be held in the summer of 2017. Burial will be private.
