Jeffrey R. Goguen

PAXTON – Jeffrey R. Goguen, 60, beloved husband of Shelley (Roy) Goguen, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, September 1, 2022. Born and raised in Worcester, he was a son of Mabel (Hodgerney) Goguen Cormier and stepfather Hank Cormier and the late Robert C. Goguen.

Jeffrey enjoyed a long career as an autobody technician for Northeast Auto Body and had to leave due to illness after more than 30 years of service. He loved tinkering with cars in his garage and following NASCAR. He was an outdoorsman, who could often be found hunting or fishing in his spare time. But more than anything, Jeffrey was a devoted husband and a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather who loved nothing more than spending time with his family.

He will be lovingly missed and remembered by his wife of 36 years, Shelley; his son, Jesse Goguen and his wife, Rita of Southbridge; his daughter, Jennifer Sorto and her husband Nelson of Auburn; his mother, Mabel E. Cormier and stepfather, Hank Cormier of Spencer; his two brothers, Robert Goguen and Henry Goguen: his three sisters, Lisa Goguen, Christine Goguen and Michelle Cormier; his several grandchildren, Nelson, Jr., Jennelle, Jinnette, Jasmine, Meadow, Zachary and Julianna; one great-grandchild, Kailer; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Wednesday, September 7th, from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A funeral service honoring his life will be held at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Following the service, Jeffrey will be laid to rest at St. John’s Cemetery, 260 Cambridge Street, Worcester.
