HOLDEN – Jeannine M. (Roy) Mayhew, 84, of 321 Highland St., died peacefully at home on Thursday, May 3, 2007.
Her husband of 42 years, Richard P. Mayhew, died in 1988. She leaves two sons, Peter R. Mayhew and his wife Susan and Paul E. Mayhew, all of Leominster; a daughter with whom she lived, Suzanne T. Barriere and her husband Richard of Holden; two brothers, Andre and Guy Roy, both of Montreal; three sisters, Sister Marielle Roy and Sister Denise Roy, both of Montreal and Therese Guerin of St. Jean, Quebec; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces.
Mrs. Mayhew was born in Montreal, Canada, the daughter of Emile and Antoinette (David) Roy, and lived in Leominster before moving to Holden 19 years ago. She worked for Arrow Shirt Company in Leominster for over 10 years. She was a member of St. Leo’s Church.
The funeral Mass for Mrs. Mayhew will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 7th, in St. Leo’s Church, 128 Main Street, Leominster. Burial will be private in St. Leo’s Cemetery, 360 Lancaster Street, Leominster. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; or to VNA Care Hospice, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA 01608-1280. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden, is directing arrangements.
