WORCESTER/AUBURN – Jeannine Y. (Cloutier) Gemme, 79, formerly of Auburn, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, June 4, 2017 after an illness. Born and raised in Southbridge, Jeannine was the daughter of the late Joseph S. and Claire F. (Durocher) Cloutier and lived over 20 years in Auburn before moving to Worcester. Jeannine graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1956. She worked several years in various administrative positions within the UMass Memorial Medical Center and University Campus. As a licensed nail technician, Jeannine became the in-house manicurist and provided nail care and treatments for her family and close friends. Regardless of what Jeannine was involved with she did it tirelessly and out of love. She was a gifted artist and loved to paint in her spare time and braid rugs. She was very proud of her French-Canadian heritage and spoke and wrote French fluently. She was intrigued with genealogy and was able to help trace her family’s roots back thirteen generations. Jeanine was a faithful servant to her Lord and was an active member and volunteer at St. Joseph’s Church in Auburn. Moving to Pleasant Street in Worcester, Jeannine continued her journey in faith and joined the Christ the King Church community where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was also a member of the church’s Festival Choir, Women’s Club, and was a Prayer Line coordinator. Turning a new chapter in her life, Jeannine moved to Colony Homes II in Worcester where she happily resided making new acquaintances and dear friends until her passing on June 4th – Pentecost Sunday. Her greatest joy in life was being in the company of her family, especially her grandchildren. She was proud of her children and grandchildren’s many accomplishment and will be remembered for her tenacity, resiliency and her ability to bring out the best in everyone she loved. Celebrating her life and legacy of love are her six children, Reverend Mr. Pierre G.L. Gemme (Deacon) and his wife, Carol of Rutland, Paul A. Gemme and his wife, Lynda of E. Dennis, Diane C. Holmes and her husband, Robert of Charlton, Sharon M. Fitzpatrick and her husband, Daniel of Oxford, John J. Gemme of Oxford, and David E. Gemme and his fiancée of Oxford; a brother, Joseph V.
