Jeanne R. (Romkey) Wilson

STERLING – Jeanne R. Wilson, 81, of 31 Maple Street, died peacefully at home in the presence of her loving family on Wednesday, August 24, 2005.
She leaves her husband of 47 years, Donald O. Wilson; a brother, Russell Romkey of Falmouth; a sister, Inez Dickie of Worcester; and many nephews and nieces. A brother, Louis Romkey, and a sister, Marjorie Nickerson, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Louis S. and Leona (Acker) Romkey, and lived in Auburn before moving to Sterling 40 years ago. She was a graduate of Auburn High School.
Mrs. Wilson worked for Marcus Company Department Store in Worcester for 48 years, retiring as the credit manager in 1998. She was a member served on many committees at the Church of the Good Shepherd.
The funeral service for Mrs. Wilson will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 30, in the Church of the Good Shepherd, 209 Union Street, Clinton. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Clinton Road (Rte. 62), Sterling. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church of the Good Shepherd, 209 Union Street, Clinton, MA 01510-2903. Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling, is directing arrangements.
