HOLDEN – Jeanette M. (MacDonald) Vigliotti, 71, of 115 Valley Hill Drive, died Tuesday, June 29, 2004, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center.
She leaves her husband of 50 years, William J. Vigliotti; a son, William Vigliotti, Jr. of Providence, Rhode Island; a daughter, Julia Vigliotti of Worcester; a sister, Lorraine Moorhouse, of Bellbrook, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jeanette was born in Brooklyn, New York, daughter of Walter and Henrietta (Steinhoff) MacDonald. She moved to Holden in 1968 and lived here for over 35 years. She was an active member of St. Mary’s Church in Jefferson, sang in the church choir and worked with church bereavement groups. She was involved with the auxiliary Marine Corps League and the VFW. For over 20 years she was active in many charitable groups, particularly The Mustard Seed.
Jeanette attended Queens College in New York. She once worked at Shawmut Bank and most recently worked in Data Services with State Mutual until she retired. For 25 years, Jeanette served alongside her husband, Deacon Vigliotti, in the Diaconal Ministry of The Diocese of Worcester at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in West Boylston, in hospital ministry, and at St. Patrick’s Church in Rutland.
The funeral for Jeanette will be held on Friday, July 2, from the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 290 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Rutland. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 1, in the funeral home.
