STERLING – Jean M. Findlay, 83, of 66 Laurelwood Road, died in her home on Sunday, September 10, 2006.

She leaves her son, Leo Bruce Findlay of Gardner; three grandchildren, Emmett and Lisa Findlay and Alexandra Moran; several nieces and nephews. Four brothers, Leo, Anthony, Ray and Charlie Findlay, predeceased her. She was born in Stellarton, Nova Scotia, Canada the daughter of Daniel and Johanna D. (McKenzie) Findlay and lived 45 years in Sterling.

Jean worked 15 years for Central Glass in Leominster and was previously a co-owner of Picc’s Restaurant in Sterling. She was a member of St. Richard of Chichester Church.

A funeral Mass for Jean will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 13, in St. Richard of Chichester Church, 4 Bridge Street, Sterling. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Clinton Road (Rte. 62), Sterling. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 12, in the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling.
