John J. Dolan

FITCHBURG - John J. Dolan, 77, of Fitchburg, died Saturday, March 27, 2010 in UMass Memorial Healthcare-University Campus, Worcester, after a short illness.
He is survived by two sons, Mark J. Dolan and his wife Rosemarie of Oakham and Jeffrey M. Dolan and his wife MaryEllen of Princeton; a daughter, Rosemarie A. Maraglia and her husband Leo of Worcester; a step-sister, Kay Moriarty of Worcester; and four grandchildren, Liam Patrick Dolan, Courtney Erin Dolan, Jason M. and Tyler J. Maraglia.
John was born and raised in Worcester, son of John J. and Mary (Curran) Dolan, and was a graduate of North High School. He worked for Norton Co. for over 25 years, retiring as a supervisor. He was a former member of St. Paul’s Cathedral in Worcester and enjoyed bowling, hunting and attending sporting events.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress Street, 5th floor, Boston, MA 02210. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
