HOLDEN, MA - Patrick J. Comer, 36, of 61 Sterling Road, died peacefully in his home on Sunday, March 9, 2008 after a courageous two-year battle with pancreatic cancer.
He leaves his wife, Andrea J. (Hamel) Comer; his parents, James E. and Cheryl R. (Turner) Comer of Princeton, Massachusetts; a sister, Lauren M. Kantor of Swampscott, Massachusetts; a paternal grandmother, Gladys H. Comer of Yorba Linda, California; two aunts, Kaaren Powell and her husband Larry of Yorba Linda, California and Charmian Werme and her husband Donald of Jefferson; two cousins, Kristen Werme of Holden and Kimberly Stencel of Auburn; two nieces, Caroline and Annalise Kantor; and a nephew, Jakob Kantor.
Patrick graduated from Saint John's High School in 1990 and from Assumption College in 1994. During his high school years he worked for Strands Ski Shop in Worcester. After graduating from college, Patrick worked for the Rockport Company as a senior account manager in Chicago where he lived for several years. He then moved to Boston where he worked at Putnam Investments. In 2004, he moved to Cleveland, Ohio to work for AllState Investments and later to Rocky River, Ohio where he was a Regional Vice President for MainStay Investments, a Division of New York Life. In September, 2007, he was transferred to Central Massachusetts. Patrick and Andrea were married on October 6, 2007. He was an avid skier and enjoyed sport fishing, boating and motorsports. He will also be missed by his dog, Bode and his cat, Rusty.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12th in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The funeral service for Patrick will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 13th, in the First Baptist Church of Holden, 1216 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. A spring burial will be in Grove Cemetery, Holden.
