HOLDEN – Barbara J. Callahan, 56, of 319 Main Street, died suddenly at home on Wednesday, May 16, 2007.
She leaves two brothers, Joel T. Callahan and his wife Penny of Lincoln, California and Robert J. Callahan and his wife Phyllis of Paxton; a sister, Janice M. Orr and her husband Marshall of Hubbardston; and several nephews and nieces. A brother, James M. Callahan, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Daniel J. and Elsie F. (Johnson) Callahan, and lived many years in Holden.
Barbara was a graduate of Worcester State College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. She was a customer Engineer for I.B.M. in Waltham and Worcester. She also worked for Parrot Pizza in Holden. She was a cat fancier.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours for Barbara from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, May 21st, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Her funeral service will be private and burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
