HOLDEN – Janice T. Wilson, 79, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Saint Vincent Hospital after an illness.
She leaves her husband of 60 years, Roger J. Wilson; a son, Paul A. Wilson and his wife Candy of Coventry, CT; a daughter, Marsha W. Morrison and her husband Jimmy of Tolland, CT; three sisters, Lois Kwiatkowski of Thomaston, CT, Carol Donlon of Greenwich, NY and Judy Monoskey of Monterey, TN; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Janice was born in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of Walter and Blanche (Gill) Tillson of Northfield, CT. She had lived in Holden since 1985. She was a quilting instructor at the Black Cat Quilt Shop formerly Betsey’s Sewing Connection in Holden. Janice was a member of St. Francis Episcopal Church in Holden and enjoyed painting, crafts, sewing, stained glass and gardening with her many cherished friends.
A Memorial Service for Janice will be held on Saturday, Sept. 7, at 11 a.m. in St. Francis Episcopal Church, 70 Highland Street (Rte. 31), Holden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Heifer Project International Northeast, 261 Wachusett Street, Rutland, MA 01543; or Saint Margaret’s Convent, Attn: Marie Margaret, SSM, c/o Agape Flights 4937, 100 Airport Avenue, Venice, FL 34285.
