WEST BOYLSTON – Janice (Urquhart) Myers, 77, of Maple Avenue and formerly of North Main Street, died on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester after an illness.
She is survived by two sons, Stephen R. Myers and his wife Cindy Lee of Thompson, CT and David K. Myers of Framingham; 5 Cherished grandchildren; a much anticipated great-granddaughter, Juniper Kidd; nieces and nephews; and her good friend, Mary-Anne Cobill of East Brookfield. She was a much loved member of her family and her absence will be keenly felt.
Janice was born and raised in Worcester the daughter of James W. and Alice E. (Brooks) Urquhart and graduated from North High School and Fanning School of Allied Health in Worcester. She was a licensed practical nurse, an EMT, a CPR and first aid instructor. She was a member of the Oakdale United Methodist Church and its choir and was active in the West Boylston Senior Center.
A memorial service and celebration of Janice’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 21, in the Oakdale United Methodist Church, 15 North Main Street, West Boylston, MA 01583. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oakdale United Methodist Church Choir Fund. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden.
