HYANNIS PORT/HOLDEN - Janice A. Ladner-Fitzgerald, 42, formerly of Holden and a resident of Hyannis Port since 1987, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Cape Cod Hospital after an illness. She was born and raised in Holden, the daughter of R. Brian Ladner and the late Carol E. (Belisle) Ladner, who sadly passed away on February 9th.
Her husband of 15 years, Brian P. Fitzgerald, passed away in 2015. She leaves four precious sons, Damien Ladner and Dylan, Dustin and Drew Fitzgerald, all of Hyannis Port. She also leaves behind her brother, Thomas J. Ladner and his wife, Monique and their daughter, Hope, of Hyannis; her sister, Christine E. Ladner of Ft. Myers, Florida; her grandmother, June E. Belisle of Rutland; her sisters-in-law, Patti Lotane and her husband, Michael of Yarmouth Port and Maureen Nedder and her husband, Bob of Dedham; and many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Janice graduated from Cape Cod Regional Vocational Technical High School and was a hairdresser before going to work in the family business. She was a secretary and worked with her Dad at Whitman Castings, Inc. in Whitman for many years. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church in Centerville and enjoyed cooking, reading, wearing flip flops and having fun. Janice had a great love for her children and her family. She will be sadly missed.
The family would like to thank the staff of Cape Cod Hospital for the care and compassion provided in those final days. It was greatly appreciated.
A private committal service was held at St. John's Cemetery in Worcester. Please omit flowers.
