Janet I. (Lalone) Sefakis, 93, died peacefully on December 7, 2023 at the Lutheran Home, Worcester. She was born in Worcester on January 22, 1930, the daughter of Alfred T. and Albanie B. (Marchand) Lalone and was a lifelong resident of Worcester.
Janet graduated from Worcester Girls Trade School and went on to work at Fortins Market in Worcester for many years, retiring in 1991. She enjoyed taking trips to the casino, traveling extensively with her sisters and watching the NE Patriots and Boston Red Sox. Family was cornerstone to Janet’s life and she treasured the time she spent with them. We will all miss her dearly.
Janet will be lovingly remembered by her son, Paul Sefakis and his wife, Audrey of Ashburnham; her daughters, Tina Henry and her husband, Richard of Worcester and Susan Matulaitis and her husband, Michael of Brewster; her sister, Lorraine Lambert of Florida; her grandchildren, Bethany, Michelle, Kate, Sarah, Alexandra and Christina; her great grandchildren, Cadence, Zachary, Charlotte and Mila; as well as several nieces and nephews. Janet was predeceased by her brothers, Donald, Walter, Alfred and Robert Lalone and her sisters Deanna Provost and Theresa O’Neill.
