WEST BOYLSTON / JEFFERSON MA / LARGO, FL - Janet A. (Gardner) Warner Consiglio, 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 7, 2020 at Dodge Park Rest Home in Worcester. She was born in Claremont, New Hampshire, the daughter of George N. and Mary J. (Bourgoine) Gardner and grew up in West Boylston.
Janet graduated from Major Edwards High School in West Boylston with the class of 1953. She was known for her work ethic, compassion and kindness. She worked waiting tables, as a QC engineer at E.C.C. Corp. in Jefferson and at Elkay while raising her family. In her later years she owned and operated Consiglio's Village Pantry in Jefferson with her late husband, Larry from 1987 until 1998. She was a gracious host and took exceptional pride in customer service, making all of her patrons feel welcome. Her faith was an important part of her life and she was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Church in Jefferson where she treasured many friendships. Jan and Larry retired to Florida in 1998 where they spent their time together gardening, dancing and walking the beach. Janet had a vivacious personality that she carried throughout her life and her final days at Dodge Park Rest Home, where she made special bonds with the staff and other residents. She loved traveling, cruises, trips to the casino, painting, crocheting and chocolate. Jan loved to spend time with her family and friends and enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren with sweets.
Janet was predeceased by her husband of 25 years, Lawrence A. Consiglio, Sr. in 2009. She is survived by her children, Peter Warner and his wife, Mary Beth of Richmond, Maine, Alan Warner of St. Petersburg, Florida, Lou Ann Pignataro of Augusta, Maine, Clifton Warner and his wife, Cheryl of Rockford, Alabama, Brian Warner and his wife, Kathy of Haughton, Louisiana, Mary Leroux of Barre, Massachusetts and Robin Holmen and her husband, Greg of Castle Rock, Colorado; her sisters, Mary Elaine Huntoon of Worcester and Naureen Cournoyer Buck of Merryville, Louisiana; her step children; Lena Consiglio and fiance David Cappella, Laurence Consiglio Jr. and his wife Cinthia, Sharon De Bonis and her husband Frank, Sheryl Greene, Beverly Grant and her husband Peter. She leaves behind 29 beloved grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. Janet was predeceased by her brothers, Gregory Gardner and Thomas Gardner as well as her former spouse Gordon A. Warner.

Funeral services are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at St. Mary's Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson , MA. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, 260 Cambridge Street, Worcester, MA. In Memorial, contributions may be made to Dodge Park Rest Home Employee Fund, 101 Randolph Road, Worcester, MA 01606.
