SHREWSBURY/BACK BAY, BOSTON - Jane (Nealing) Kirkpatrick, 82, of Julio Drive a resident of Southgate, Shrewsbury and formerly of the Back Bay in Boston, died suddenly on Thursday, May 5, 2011 in her home.
Her husband of 44 years, Dr. John A. Kirkpatrick, Jr., died in 1994. She is survived by her son, John A. Kirkpatrick III and his wife Theresa and their children, Kate and John all of Wormleysburg, PA; two daughters, Katherine Kirkpatrick of Boston and Ann Tripp and her husband Dale Perkins and her children, Elizabeth and Sam all of Rutland; two brothers, Michael Nealing of Florida and Peter Nealing of Georgia; a sister, Judy Powell of Florida. Her son-in-law, Mark W. Tripp of Rutland died in 2002. She is also predeceased by her brother Walter Nealing.
Jane was born in New York, NY, daughter of Walter and Rose Ann (Reynolds) Nealing, and lived in the Back Bay in Boston before moving to Shrewsbury 13 years ago. She was a mother, homemaker and passionate about her family. She volunteered and was Chairman of the Ladies Committee for the Museum of Fine Arts Boston.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 9th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, 465 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02115.
