STERLING –James B. Senter, 94, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at the Highlands Healthcare in Fitchburg after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 69 years, Ruth G. (Stuart) Senter; four daughters, Susan M. Wyatt and her husband John of Easley, SC, Terry-Jean Vincent and her husband Donald of Shushan, NY, Patti-Jo Miller and her husband Jerry of Fitchburg and Darcee Glenn and her husband Karl of Clinton; a sister, Dorothy Sampagnano of Mesa, AZ; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nephews and nieces. Two brothers, Howard and Robert Senter, predeceased him.
He was born in Troy, New York, the son of Charles B. and Eva M. (Crumbpacker) Senter and had lived in Sterling most of his life. James was a landscaper for many years from his home. Previously, he was a bus driver at Lowe’s Bus Company and also worked at the Cider Mill both in Sterling. Later in life he became an ordained minister through the Moody Bible Institute and ran a home ministry.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28th, in the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling. Funeral services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.
