WORCESTER -- James W. Richardson, 92, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital after an illness. Jim’s wife of 44 years, Mary A. (Grinaske) Richardson died in 1991.
He was born in Worcester the son of Harold H. and Lillian (Martin) Richardson and lived here his entire life. He was an eighteen-year veteran of the Worcester Police Department retiring as a Lieutenant in 1966. Jim honorably served his country with the United States Marine Corps during World War II.
He leaves two sons, Joel W. Richardson and his wife, Kathleen of Jefferson and Alan D. Richardson of Worcester; a daughter, Anne G. Jacobs and her husband, Kenneth of Worcester; five grandchildren, Alyssa, Jessalyn, Matthew, Juliana and Dean; and two great-grandchildren, Connor and Malia.
