HOLDEN – James N. McLaughlin, 49, of Moscow Road, died on Saturday, November 14, 2009 in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester after an illness.
James was born in Worcester the son of the late, Mary E. (Harrahy) McLaughlin. He is survived by his father, John W. McLaughlin, Jr. and his wife Dorothy of Crystal River, FL; a sister, Kelley E. Harris and her husband Timothy and their children, Jonathan W. Harris and Meghan E. Harris all of Holden; 3 aunts, Alice E. Robichaud and Helen J. Whittles both of Holden and Ruth M. Welsh of Beverly Hills, FL; 7 cousins, Robert and Robin Beth Sanborn, Michael, Patrick, Martin and Robert Robichaud and Keith Whittles; and his good friend and business partner, Kenneth R. Flaherty of Haverhill.
James graduated from Wachusett Regional High School in 1979 and attended Quinsigamond Community College and Northeastern University. He was the owner and operator of J.N.M. Inc. in Hudson. Previously, he worked as a mason and for his family owned business, Holden Rubbish Removal. He was a member of St. Mary's Church in Jefferson. He loved riding his Harley, camping, listening to the Grateful Dead and spending time with his friends and family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18th in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The funeral for James will be held on Thursday, November 19th, from the funeral home with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
