WORCESTER - James L. Zwicker, 50, a lifelong resident of Worcester, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, June 21, 2017, in UMass Memorial Medical Center, University campus after being stricken ill.
James was born in Worcester, March 18, 1967, a son of Ivan S. and Eva H. (Joudrey) Zwicker. He is a graduate of St. Peter Marian High School where he was captain and the star player of the football, baseball and basketball teams. James worked as a computer engineer for EMC for over 20 years. He was not only a talented athlete but he was an avid sports fan. He loved riding his Harley Davidson and taking yearly trips to bike week in Laconia.
Besides his parents, James will be missed by his brother, Michael I. Zwicker and his wife, Lori of Douglas; his nephew, James Zwicker and his wife Nicole of Worcester and their two children. Jim will be remembered as a loving son, brother, and uncle.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with James' family on Tuesday, June 27, from 5 until 8pm in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St. (Rte 122A) Holden. A private burial will be held in Lake Side Cemetery, New Canada, Nova Scotia, Canada. In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks you make a donation in James' memory to the American Diabetes Foundation of New England, 260 Cochituate Rd., #200, Framingham, MA 01701.
