RUTLAND – James T. Forrest, 67, passed away at home on Sunday, April 26, 2020 after an illness.
He leaves his loving wife and best friend 32 years, Janice (Nurmi) Forrest; his son, Christopher Nurmi and his wife, Danielle; his daughter, Rebecca Nurmi; his grandchildren, Moxy, Jason and James; his Goddaughters, Megan and Jamie Lawler; and many great friends.
James was born in Cambridge, the son of Walter and Lillian ( ) Forrest and had graduated from Shawsheen Technical High School in Billerica. He worked for several years at Spaulding & Slye Company and EMCOR - Building Technology Engineers. In his leisure, he enjoyed fishing, ice fishing, bow hunting, camping, skiing and riding his motorcycle.
Due to the national health crisis, funeral services for James are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements are under the care of the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
