HOLDEN – James T. Fleming, Jr., age 66, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 8, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late James T. Sr. and Lorraine (Arell) Fleming.
James was raised in Worcester where he graduated from Saint Johns High School with the class of 1975. He went on to graduate from the Worcester Industrial Technical Institute and then worked for his entire career for Merit Oil and then Hess Corporation, finishing his career as a regional manager.
In his free time, he enjoyed trap shooting and his many vacations throughout the years. He loved the warm weather and beach trips, especially Myrtle Beach. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren whom he adored.
He will be lovingly missed by his loving fiancée of 15 years, Marie Ushinski; a son, Thomas Fleming and his wife, Emily of Jefferson; a daughter, Amanda Fuenmayor and her husband, Erick of Sterling; a brother, Michael Fleming and his wife, Roseanne of Worcester; five grandchildren, Amelia, Liliana, Jackson, Valerie, and Zachary. He is predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Miller.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with his family from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Monday, December 11th, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden.
