STERLING - James B. Cooney III, 54, beloved husband of Susan M. (Sheehan) Cooney of Sterling passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 15, 2017.
He was a local electrician for more than 25 years as well as a talented drummer. He was an outdoorsman and could often be found rafting, hunting, fishing or tending to his garden. He graduated from Shrewsbury High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Jim will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife, Susan M. Cooney; his son, Robert M. Cooney of Webster; his daughter, Rachel L. Mulligan and her wife, Kate of Weymouth; his mother, Elaine (Hurley) Triola and her husband, Loucian L. Triola of Worcester; his brother, John D. Cooney of Boylston; his sister, Debra J. Tully of Worcester; his grandchild, Rylee Mulligan; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, James B. Cooney II in 2015.
Funeral services are private and under the care of Miles Sterling Funeral & Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, (Rte.12) Sterling.
