Jacqueline A. Young

March 5, 1939 — October 14, 2024

Jacqueline A. (Newton) Young, 85 of Hubbardston, passed away in the comfort of her home on October 14, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. She is the loving wife of the late William J. Young with whom she shared 58 years of marriage.

Jackie was born in Worcester on March 5, 1939, the daughter of the late George and Florence (Boyd) Newton. While working at Mechanics Bank in Worcester, Jackie met the love of her life, Bill. Together they settled in Holden to raise their three daughters.

Jackie had a voracious appetite for reading. She was involved in two book clubs and even kept a running record of all the books she had ever read. She also became very active in local senior center activities. Above all else, she was a natural caregiver and a proud homemaker throughout her daughters' lives. She adored her children and grandchildren, who brought her the most joy in life. She will be lovingly missed by all who knew her.

Jackie leaves her daughters, Shonna L. Larson and her husband Tomas of Hubbardston, and Marcia McKenney and her husband Robert of Douglas; son-in-law, Kevin Beaupre of Sterling; grandchildren, Andrew, Amanda, Kayla, and Matthew; and great grandchildren, Elliot, Calvin, Landon, Emerson, Caleb, and Laura.

Jackie is met in Heaven by her husband William Young, daughter Lisa Beaupre, brother Richard Newton, and sister Diane Barton.

Jackie will be laid to rest with her beloved husband at Hillside Cemetery privately.

In lieu of flowers, her family kindly asks that donations in her name be made to The Dana Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston MA 02284 or Susan G. Komen For The Cure, 13770 Noel Rd, Suite 801889, Dallas TX 75380.
