HUDSON - With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jacqueline Black Ross, who, at 91, lived a life as vibrant and full as the art she loved. She was a woman of creativity, independence, and boundless curiosity—an adventurer in spirit and practice.
A devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and great-grandmother, she found her greatest joy in her family. She embraced the world with open arms, traveling to Egypt, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Japan, and many other places with her friends. She always sought new experiences and shared unforgettable moments with those she loved. Just last year, she celebrated her 90th birthday in grand style, surrounded by family and friends—a testament to the deep and lasting connections she nurtured throughout her life.
Her artistic soul shone through in everything she touched- through painting, watercolors, or how she viewed the world—with wonder, beauty, and appreciation for the small details. Her independent spirit was an inspiration, proving that a well-lived life is filled with passion, exploration, and love.
She leaves a legacy of adventure, creativity, and devotion to family. Though she has taken her final journey, her love and influence will continue to guide us, just as she always did—with kindness, wisdom, and an adventurous heart.
Jackie will be lovingly missed and remembered by her devoted children, Andrea Kaufman and her husband, Robert Desrosiers, Laurie Nossair and her husband, Hamdy, and David Ross and his wife, Karen; her brother, Robert Black and his wife Ulla, and his children; her cherished grandchildren, Ravit Reardon and her husband, Michael, Olivia Simpson and her husband Sheldon, Omar Nossair and his partner Patrick Weiland, Chelsea Belfiore and her husband, Samuel, Jessica Gallant and her husband, Matthew, Benjamin Ross, and Brian Ross.
Family and friends will gather to honor Jackie’s remarkable life at a Graveside Funeral Service at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 7th, at B’nai Brith Cemetery, 55 St. John’s Road, Worcester. Arrangements are in the care of Miles Funeral Home of Holden. Memorial Observance will be announced.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to ArtsWorcester, 44 Portland Street, Worcester, MA 01608 (

), honoring her love for travel, art, or the people she cherished most.
