BOYLSTON – Jacqueline C. (Chaffee) Foss, 88, formerly of Shrewsbury Street, died Thursday, September 30, 2010 in the Sterling Village, Sterling.
Jacqueline was born in West Haven, Connecticut, the daughter of Leon W. and Vera (Buck) Chaffee, and lived 40 years in Boylston, a few years in the Briarwood Retirement Community before recently moving to Sterling. She was a graduate of the Katharine Gibbs School in Providence, Rhode Island, and was a secretary at The Worcester Foundation for Experimental Biology in Shrewsbury for 40 years, retiring in 1989. She leaves several nephews including Jay Sampson of Oregon. She was a member of the Skating Club of Worcester and the Shrewsbury Theater Group.
Funeral services are private. Donations in her memory may be made to the Boylston Lions Club, P.O. Box 50, Boylston, MA 01505. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling.
