Biography
WORCESTER – Jacob Aframe, age 99, died on Friday, May 13, at the Jewish Healthcare Center.
His wife of 65 years Laeh (Yoffe) Aframe died in 2008. He leaves two sons; Jay Aframe and his wife Myra and Barry Aframe both of Worcester; five grandchildren; Derek, Jocelyn, Miriam, Emily and Robert and seven great-grandchildren; Aiden, Asher, Abigail, Bram, Madeline, Orianna, and Henry. He was predeceased by his brothers Philip and Abraham Aframe and his sister Ceil Fagan.
He was born in Putnam CT, a son of James and Tillie Aframe and had lived in Worcester over 80 years.
He was an Army veteran of WWII, serving in Europe. He had been a self employed cattle dealer for many years, retiring 29 years ago.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 2:00 PM ON SUNDAY, MAY 15 IN BETH ISRAEL SYNAGOGUE ON JAMESBURY DRIVE IN WORCESTER UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME OF HOLDEN. Burial will be in Sons of Jacob Cemetery in Leicester.
Memorial Observance will be held through this Evening at the residence of Jay and Myra Aframe, 27 Barry Road, Worcester, and 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 9 PM Monday May 16 through Wednesday May 18.
