WORCESTER – Irving M. Cooper, 89, died on Sunday, February 19, 2016 at his residence. He leaves two sons, Charles Cooper and Richard Cooper, both of Worcester; a daughter, Dianne Cooper of Chatham; two step-daughters, Robin, wife of Phil Servidio and Marty, wife of Joey Servidio, all of Florida; a brother, Harold Cooper and his wife, Janis of Boca Raton, FL; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Herbert Cooper and by a sister, Evelyn Gold.He was born and raised in Worcester, a son of Philip and Ida (Wiener) Cooper, and lived most of his life in Worcester and on Cape Cod for a number of years.He was a Certified Public Accountant and was associated with the accounting firm of Cooper, Weinstein, Kumin, Feldman, and Kashuk for many years, retiring in 1986. During World War II, he served in the 308th Bombardment Wing U.S. Army Air Corps and he also served in the Korean War.GRAVESIDE FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 1:00 PM ON TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 21, IN HOLY SOCIETY CEMETERY ON HAVANA ROAD IN LEICESTER UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME OF HOLDEN.Memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans, Inc., 69 Grove Street, Worcester, MA 01605.Memorial Observance will be announced at the time of the funeral service.
