HOLDEN – Annie "Irene" (Quatrale) Occhialini, 91, of Princeton St., Jefferson, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 in Oakdale Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center, West Boylston after an illness.
Her husband of 61 years, Leo J. Occhialini died in 2005. She is survived by her sons, David J. Occhialini and his wife Gail of Casselberry, FL and John L. Occhialini of East Longmeadow; two sisters, Nicolena Zacek of Dudley and Evelyn Abasciano and her husband Maurice of Shrewsbury; 5 grandchildren, Andrew, Casey, Randy, Lea and Nathan; and a great grandson, Joseph; nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester the daughter of Domenic and Antoinette (DiMauro) Quatrale and lived 87 years in Jefferson.
Mrs. Occhialini was an inspector at the E.C.C. Corp. in Jefferson for 14 years. Previously, she had worked as a winder for the Duesberg Co. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and their Women's Guild. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 6 to 8 on Friday, October 9th in Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Mrs. Occhialini's funeral will be held on Saturday from the funeral home with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Holden. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Building Fund, St. Mary's Church, P.O. Box 2200, Jefferson, MA 01522.
