Irene Ruth Woods
October 29, 1919 — February 22, 2023
PRINCETON - Irene Ruth (Hendrickson) Woods, 103, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. Born and raised in Worcester, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Florence (Rivers) Hendrickson.
After graduating from Lamartine Street School, Irene went on to further her education at the Lee Institute where she received her real estate license. In her spare time, she enjoyed working outside, no matter how big a task.
Irene was proud to hold the Boston Post Cane for Princeton for being the oldest person in town.
She will be lovingly missed and remembered by her daughter and caretaker, Donna Woods of Princeton; her son, Eon Karl Woods of Princeton; and a grandson she adored, Eon Woods, also of Princeton.
There are no services scheduled. Arrangements are under the care of the Miles-Sterling Funeral & Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling.
